HOCHFILZEN, Österreich – Scharfschützen aus Belgien, Deutschland, Griechenland, Italien, Niederlanden, Norwegen, Slowakei und den Vereinigten Staaten besuchten nahmen am High-Angle/Urban-Kurses, veranstaltet durch das International Special Training Centre (ISTC) vom 9. bis 14. September 2018, am Übungsgelände in Hochfilzen teil.

Das ISTC ist eine multinationale, von der NATO akkreditierte Institution, die Ausbildungs- und Trainingseinrichtungen für die taktische, fortgeschrittene und spezialisierte Ausbildung multinationaler Spezialeinheiten und ähnlicher Einheiten bereitstellt. Das Trainingszentrum setzt die Fähigkeiten multinationaler Instruktoren und Fachexperten ein. Der High Angle/Urban Kurs ist ein zweiwöchiger Kurs, der Scharfschützen darin ausbildet, Ziele in bergigem und städtischem Gelände zu bekämpfen. Die zweite Woche des Kurses ist der Beherrschung der Hochwinkeltechnik in den österreichischen Alpen gewidmet.

„Hochwinkelschießen ist, wenn man mehr als 300 Meter in einem Winkel von mehr als 15 Grad schießt“, sagte Alexander Rishovd, ein Scharfschützenausbilder, der zum norwegischen Armee-Landkriegszentrum gehört. „Stellen Sie sich vor, der gesamte Schussprozess wäre ein Dreieck und der Scharfschütze wäre oben, die Sichtlinie zum Ziel am anderen Ende wäre größer als die Entfernung, die die Kugel in einer flachen Linie zurücklegt. Je größer der Winkel, desto größer ist die Abweichung zwischen der Sichtlinie und der Entfernung, und um so länger wirkt die Schwerkraft auf das Geschoss.“

Das kann ganz schön kompliziert werden. Vor allem für Teilnehmer, welche nicht gerade bergige Landschaften zu Hause haben. Eine wichtige Erfahrung daher für alle Teilnehmer, nicht nur rund um das Thema Ballistik, sondern auch im Punkto Ausrüstung. Wer sich in den Bergen bewegen will, sollte so leicht wie möglich sein.
