Companies and platforms are controlling what legal content can be published and what goods can be bought. This issue has affected Polenar Tactical, whose YouTube channel was demonetized.
In a free world, companies decide whether you are allowed to publish your definitely legal content. Or what you can buy with your money and their services. Or what a shop that uses their service can sell. Mind you: this is not about illegal or prohibited things, but about content and goods that are completely legal. But it is companies and platforms that we have to work with - because they are used by everyone - that dictate to us what we are allowed to do and what not. It is not the laws of society that apply. This is a sustainable problem that affects all of us - as companies, but also as customers and as media consumers.
This time it happened to POLENAR TACTICAL. Their channel with over 700,000 followers is being "demonetized" by YouTube for some of its content, meaning they can no longer earn anything with their reach. The problem that affects POLENAR affects all of us in this industry. Ultimately, it is called censorship.
