The IFAK from SAVOTTA

The Finnish gear smith SAVOTTA is expanding its tactical range, which includes two IFAK variants: the S-IFAK Horizontal and the S-IFAK Vertical. A suitable S-IFAK Insert is available separately for both IFAKs. SAVOTTA has provided us with the  S-IFAK Horizontal and the S-IFAK Insert. Check it out.

S-IFAK Horizontal Mount

The horizontal S-IFAK from SAVOTTA, made of 500D Cordura, is an open tube construction at both ends with an adjustable elastic cord holder. It weighs only 85 g with dimensions of 210 x 100 x 70 mm (W x H x D). The S-IFAK is delivered without the insert, which can be purchased at SAVOTTA here.

The velcro area allows for the attachment of patches and markings.

Due to its flat profile, the horizontal positioning is perfect for carrying on a belt. 

The PALS attachment can be woven to 50 mm belt loops for direct attachment to the belt or mounted on any PALS surface, such as a chest rig, plate carrier, or dangler adapter.

It is possible to attach the S-IFAK to the Dangler Adapter from SAVOTTA and then integrate it into a plate carrier or chest rig. Aua – the patch is available in our shop.

S-IFAK Insert

The foldable S-IFAK Insert made of 500D Cordura with PES webbing weighs only 80 g. Its dimensions when fully equipped are 200 x 120 x 70 mm (L x W x D). 

A look at the back can also be delightful. The webbing runs over the entire backside of the insert and is securely stitched.

The S-IFAK Insert can be folded and secured with velcro, allowing for some leeway for adjustments depending on the contents. The insert is opened by pulling on the red webbing, which is a very simple action.

At both ends of the insert, there is a webbing tab with which you can pull the insert out.

The tabs are designed to be easily graspable even with gloves, including winter gloves.

Now let's look at the inner values of the fully opened S-IFAK Insert.

Various sizes of elastic bands are attached inside the S-IFAK Insert for securing medical supplies.

The scissors represent a practical component and are efficiently integrated into the S-IFAK Insert.

The S-IFAK Insert is compatible with standard medical IFAK supplies and thus provides an optimal addition.

The insert with the IFAK supplies is compact when folded.

The S-IFAK Insert has been designed for use with the S-IFAK Horizontal and S-IFAK Vertical. 

To ensure nothing is lost, the elastic cord and cord stoppers on the left and right keep the contents of the bag secured.

The S-IFAK Insert can also be used in any backpack, in a thigh pocket, or in a suitable GP bag without requiring the S-IFAK Horizontal/Vertical.

CONCLUSION

The S-IFAK Horizontal and the S-IFAK Vertical combined with the S-IFAK Insert provide a compact first-aid kit for emergency situations.
