Again a hip bag – or is it something different? The answer to this question is ambivalent. TASMANIAN TIGER has further developed a proven piece of equipment by giving it a flexible design to ensure maximum usability. It integrates seamlessly into existing equipment sets. The Plate Carrier Pouch VL is a practical, robust, and well-thought-out waist bag. It can be directly attached to the plate carrier or worn separately as a hip bag with the included belt, and there is also a third carrying option. Let's take a closer look at the additional front pocket in detail.
The bag made of Cordura 500 den and Tegris, with dimensions of 230 x 120 x 70 mm, weighs only 155 g.
A Velcro area on the front for attaching patches and ID badges.
The back of the Plate Carrier Pouch VL is equipped with five elastic insert loops, laser-cut slots, and side Cordura loops.
The rubber loops are designed for carrying glow sticks, pens, flashlights, etc.
A tourniquet holder is made possible by four Cordura loops at the bottom using the included bungee cord and cord stopper.
Here you can see a look inside the small and compact bag. At this point, it is clearly visible that there are three rubber loops. That is the maximum. There is no fuzzy Velcro area inside.
Essential tools can be carried. Most of the time, less is more. A small notepad and the wallet still have space.
The additional front pocket efficiently expands the gear. Why? The delivery includes an adjustable and detachable hip belt as well as a detachable SRPP connector made of Tegris for the Plate Carrier Pouch VL.
The SRPP connector (Tegris) is interchangeable and removable and can also be used in various plate carriers. On one side, it has hook Velcro, and on the other side, it has fuzzy Velcro.
The connector made of Tegris is inserted into the existing laser-cut slots and hooked in. A quick change and adaptation to other operational equipment is possible.
The bag is not only tailored to TASMANIAN TIGER products but is also flexibly applicable with plate carriers from other manufacturers.

The bag can also be used as a hip bag; the corresponding hip belt is included.
The attachment of the length-adjustable strap to the Plate Carrier Pouch VL is made possible by the so-called snap hook from Woojin Plastic. A WJ closure is used for quickly detaching the bag.

As mentioned earlier, there are laser-cut slots on the back. These are not only for the attachment of the SRPP connector but also allow for MALICE clips or similar components to be passed through.
Additionally, the attachment of the Plate Carrier Pouch VL to MOLLE/PALS-compatible gear is possible using various MOLLE clips.

The Plate Carrier Pouch VL from TASMANIAN TIGER is small but impressive and surprising. At first glance, it resembles a hip bag, but on closer inspection, it shows high flexibility in application. These features make the bag a valuable and versatile piece of equipment that can be used in numerous professional situations. Regarding materials, CORDURA 500 and Tegris have been used. According to the Bundeswehr standards TL 8305-0278 and TL 8305-0281, the device has an IRR camouflage effect (IRR 650 - 1250nm / 10 - 42 %).
It is available Plate Carrier Pouch VL from TASMANIAN TIGER in the colors Olive, Coyote, Black, Multicam, and in the IRR version starting at 33 EUR, at all dealers that carry the brand, such as STEINADLER.
