We were able to exclusively see what they have done with the Steyr AUG. At first glance, you can tell there is a lot different - and better, in our opinion. Claw Gear sticks to the classic A1/A2 AUG with the fixed-mounted sight. The weapon is from the time before Picantinny, so it lacks the options for adding what you need. With the Modular Scope Mount, Claw Gear overcomes this standstill: it simply screws over the regular sight, now the shooter can also mount an Aimpoint Micro as an aid for short distances. Looking along the sight: the towers for adjusting the regular sight are easily accessible, yet there is enough space for a Red Dot and a light-laser module, for example. At the same time, two dust covers protect the sight. The expansion not only makes sense for civilian shooters, it would also benefit the army's weapons. HERE is where you can get the Modular Scope Mount. The folding handle of the AUG bothers many people, and the front of the weapon heats up quickly. Claw Gear solves both problems with a new handguard. It replaces the folding handle, and now you can use foregrips as well. In this version, the weapon can also be gripped and guided wonderfully in a C-Clamp style. Claw Gear has opted for the M-Lok system introduced by Magpul. This means that accessories like slings, grips, or other items can be attached on the slots via rails. Here, a laser aiming device has been mounted on the space gained by the handguard.
